The Board
The Board of Directors is collectively responsible for the company’s long-term sustainable success within a framework of prudent and effective controls.
The Board is responsible for the overall strategy, oversight of financial and operational performance, key risks, and regulatory compliance. It sets the direction on how the company approaches and addresses strategic, operational and financial risks at the firm. The Board reserves certain matters to itself but delegates others to its committees, the details of which can be found on this page.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee also includes our Executive Directors.
The day-to-day management of the firm is delegated by the Board to the Executive Management team, who discharge this responsibility via the Executive Committee (ExCo).
The committee’s responsibilities
The ExCo functions as the executive decision-making body for Brightwell. Each member of the ExCo has individual responsibility for business functions within Brightwell.
In order to support the ExCo in managing the business, ExCo has delegated oversight of certain business activities to the following operational committees:
Member Services Committee
Oversees all areas of member services detailed in agreements between Brightwell and its clients, including the strategic approach to delivering the required levels of service to members. This covers a number of areas including business development, people, systems, technology, and member engagement.
Investment Services Committee
Oversees progress on achieving investment and funding objectives, including reviewing KPIs; oversight of our FCA-regulated activities; and the delivery of investment operational activities.
